After a member of Pastors for Trump stated he personally urged President Donald Trump to dismiss a staffer whom the White House claimed was responsible for posting a racist video featuring Barack and Michelle Obama, an investigative reporter identified a potential suspect.

Bipartisan outrage erupted prior to the weekend after Trump shared a video on his Truth Social account, where the final moments contained the offensive images of the Obamas. Pastor Mark Burns mentioned a "staffer" that caught attention.

"The President assured me that this post was made by a staffer and not by him. My recommendation to the President was straightforward and firm. That staffer should be dismissed immediately, and the President should publicly denounce this action," Burns wrote. "This kind of insensitive and racist communication does not mirror the heart, values, or leadership of the President of the United States, nor does it represent the America we aim to build."

An investigative reporter with expertise in the matter suggested it is highly plausible that the staffer is the contentious White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.

Building on Burns’ comments, reporter Jason Leopold noted, "YEARS ago, I obtained documents via #FOIA from the Mueller investigation that disclosed Stephen Miller sometimes composed Trump’s tweets."

The investigative reporter also shared a screenshot from FOIA records stating, "Miller would draft a variety of Twitter messages for Trump, Trump would mark the ones he approved, and [Dan] Scavino would send out the tweets."
